Need help getting from TA to HA

Hallos all!

Myself and another AroFer, Cloud Aurora, need some help getting our chars through Team Arenas to HA. Cloud's a war, and I can run anything from ranger, necro, ele, mesmer, or sin, although I'd prefer to come as mese or ranger.

Could anyone help us out? We only need 5 consecutive wins to move on I think. Date/time aren't specified for a reason (namely whatever works for others) probably on a weekend though.

and i suggest rolling pvp chars, if you have the slot(s)..

i could probably lend ya a hand, but RA and TA arent my bag.. 2 glad points... HA is where its at.. 389 fame! l.o.l

i suggest a cheap gimmick, such as like ..what was it called.. maybe smite-touch way..
a W/A? with shove
3 Mo/A's with the 2 smite touch skills that do double dmg vs a kd'd foe, of course this does require the use of vent or other voip..

R/D's used to be pretty effective, not sure if thats the case anymore.

Don't have a slot, I'm afraid, all my chars are PvE But the ranger at least has done enough and I've played her enough she should be good if I have a build

I like my para. And besides, a fully runed/well equipped PvE char should work just as well, and I can run any prof save rit or para. (neither of those have the skill variety yet)

Work JUST as well? Nonono. Work reasonably effectively, I guess.

yea.. i've had to change weapon and armor sets for a single char or several chars like 5 times in a day..

different builds / team builds need different things.. such as radiant or survior insigs

its so easy for someone to send a template, you hit load, and voila, completely new set of armor.

you'd also want like 5 shields..
i have a +10armor vs. fire
"------------------------" cold
"------------------------"piercing
etc..
i sometimes need a +5e, +30 hp spear, or a 20%enchanting spear..
a 40/40 set for fire and earth, blood too.. a +30/-2set for fire and earth....

i had healing seed on my ele's bar last night, and various rit, para, monk, necro and mes skills...

and all too often (because like 70% of sins and 60% of monks in HA ARE pve characters) does one say, sorry, cant do that- pve char, when asked to bring a hero with a specific build+armor, or a skill they would never use in pve. monk needs rend enchantments and well of weariness, what!?

The only advantage a PvE character has over a PvP character is easier access to req 8 items, which usually only applies to shields, and really doesn't make that much of an impact. Of course, you can still put req 8 items on PvP characters...just don't delete them.
They both play equally effective, so long as they have the same equipment, same skills, etc. PvP characters just get their stuff faster.

meh, the PvE vs PvP thing is moot, I went ahead and got myself a PvP char. And a warrior. something I never thought I'd do.

the thing about using pve characters in pvp arenas.....

PVE characters can look stylish.....

PVP characters can look bleh...not much to choose from unless I choose to use my xunlai points in buying fancy armour.

the only other difference is weapon sets and armour you may need to swap for certain builds....
then there is skills...are you at all the places to get skills?....do you have every elite on the toon you hope to use? are you set in ONE charcter for pvp only..this will hurt you getting into teams.(unles you are a monk or warrior.)

I wanted to, for the longest time, use my pve characters for pvp.....i gave up on that idea fast.

So if you need a slot for PVP does it have access to all the skills, etc. that you're referring to? What about eq?

any skill unlocked, any hero, any armor runes and insignias, weapons-mods, incrips, etc.. if its unlocked the account its freely available to make as much as you want.

and you can unlock more things with balth faction... or IDing in pve.

I have all ranger, ele, monk, and necro skills unlocked, except for elites which I cap as needed, and a fair amount of sin and rit. The only major rune I need is sup vigor, which I can get w/ faction sometime, although I am miffed that I don't get to show off my PvE char's awesome armours
