Need help runing my closet-full of armors!

Hello all!

As many of you know, I am a bit armor-obsessed. My ele owns 10 elite armor sets now (as you might notice from my new signature banner, I got Lais the monument set this morning).

With all these armor sets, I can certainly afford to set them up for a whole variety of different builds. Can anyone provide a few builds and armor runing combos for me to set up?

I typically don't rattle my brain about it all, and just apply some runes of vitae, some to boost my energy points, etc. on all pieces and off I go. But with 10 sets, I can certainly have at least 4 or 5 if not a few more that are specially geared toward specific ele builds...

I'd suppose that due to ele's energy storage, I'd focus on health instead of energy on armors unless there's couple of insane builds where you go through energy like it's nothing.

Depends on what you do with your ele.

I'd suggest at least one geomancer set, for obbi tanking.

Possibly another for Raptor farming (mebbe)

Otherwise, a high energy set, a high HP set.

I find that, on Hathlok, I tend to run just 1 set, but with all 4 headpieces (3+1 earth, air, water, fire), unless I'm running a specialized build (obbi, ER protter, etc.)

Mostly with ele's, it's more about the weapon set/headpiece, then with a whole armor set.

Just my 2 cents.

I already having a set for raptor farm, so that's settled. I do not have an obbi tank set, which definitely I think would be good for me to have, if ever I start tagging along during the weekend events again. I would imagine that is something that is handy to have with your group...

Thanks! I have readjusted the colors though, because I felt it was too distracting from my actual posts... Now the colors are darker, and stand out a bit less against the dark grey background...

ya know, normally its not the photographer (GWs) that dresses up and does the modeling?
at this point ts useless to tell you that you have too much armor, so instead, i am tasking you to get every set of elite ele armor. (hell, its probably just obby that remains...)

you should make a 55 ele. i've never seen one before, so that would be someting.

Oddly enough, I was actually thinking this morning, after I purchased the Monument set, that I could maybe do exactly that as a personal goal before GW2 comes out... But ya see, I don't like ALL elite ele armors... The obsidian ele is not one that I find is appealing in the least (thank God!). I am also not big on the:

elite stoneforged
elite flameforged
elite iceforged
asuran (I actually purchased that one for Lais, and ended up salvaging it)
(and as I already stated: obsidian)

Which means that, now that I actually look at the big picture, I only I have 2 more sets of elites to purchase for Lais and she will own every single elite armor available for eles which I actually find nice. The 2 additional armors left over are:

Elite Luxon
Elite Sunspear

(which I was not going to purchase for Lais, not because I don't like the armor, but because I never thought it would look nice on her uber-white complexion and really bright red hair, but now that she has a more healthy looking skin tone and a tad paler red hair, she could pull off both of them, I believe...)

And therein lies the joke, it's the fact that I treat most of my characters as a war, even my monk sometimes, which provides for some rather amusing quotes on vent.
